Reconnect To What Matters Most.

Welcome to Reconnect Counselling. I’m Danielle and I am so glad you’re here. I know that beginning therapy and finding someone who truly feels like the right fit can feel overwhelming. That’s why my first priority is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen. Whether you're taking your first steps toward caring for your mental health or navigating a difficult season in your life, I’m here to walk alongside you. This is a space for connection, growth, and healing and you don’t have to do it alone.

About Me

As a therapist and a mother, my work is deeply rooted in the belief that healing begins within the safety of secure relationships. At the heart of what I do is the understanding that we all long to feel seen, valued, and deeply connected and that these needs are not only valid, but essential to our well-being.

I approach therapy through an attachment-focused lens, knowing that the relationship we build together is the foundation for real, lasting change. My priority is to create a space where you feel emotionally safe, where you can show up fully as yourself without fear of judgment. This is where trust begins. When we feel securely connected, we are more open to exploring vulnerability, repairing past wounds, and developing new patterns of connection, both with ourselves and with others.

My Experience

Over the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and families through the complexities of emotional distress, crisis, and developmental challenges. Much of my early work centered on helping young people struggling with impulse control, insecure attachment, and emotional regulation. Whether navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, suicidality, or substance use, my focus has always been on helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward greater self-awareness and resilience.

Today, my private practice is centered on the work I feel most deeply called to, supporting women and couples in the perinatal and postpartum seasons of life. I am passionate about helping clients navigate the profound transitions of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Times that can awaken old attachment wounds, heighten feelings of isolation, and challenge one’s sense of identity. As a mother myself, I understand the complexity of this chapter and the importance of having a compassionate, attuned space to process it.

I also work closely with couples, whether you are navigating the shifting dynamics of parenthood, looking for support in strengthening your emotional bond, or looking to repair ruptures, I aim to cultivate connection that foster both intimacy and resilience. My approach is grounded in attachment theory, with the belief that secure relationships are the foundation for healing and growth.

Throughout my career in public mental health, youth corrections, and crisis services, I’ve walked alongside clients navigating trauma, relational rupture, and systemic stressors. These experiences, along with my own lived journey through complex family dynamics, trauma, and burnout, shape the empathy and authenticity I bring into the therapy room.

I believe healing is not about striving for perfection, it’s about showing up, again and again, in the relationship with ourselves and others. It is through connection, not isolation, that we begin to thrive. I would be honoured to walk alongside you, holding space for your story as we work together to build secure, nourishing connections within yourself, your relationships, and this therapeutic process. Because healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens through connection and that’s where we’ll begin.

Couples Counselling

Couples therapy is a supportive space for both partners to come together and strengthen their relationship, navigate challenges, and build healthier patterns of connection. Whether you're working through ongoing conflict, preparing for a major life transition, or seeking to reconnect, this space allows both individuals to be heard and supported in working toward shared goals.

I offer couples therapy for a wide range of needs, including pre-marital preparation, pre-natal support, improving communication, conflict resolution, and navigating changes in your relationship. I also provide support for couples who are going through separation or divorce, with a focus on healing, clarity, and respectful transitions. For those who are parenting apart, I offer co-parenting support to help you work together in creating a stable, nurturing environment for your children.

Whatever stage your relationship is in, I’m here to help you move forward with understanding, intention, and compassion.

Family Therapy

Family therapy, through an attachment-focused lens, offers a space to strengthen the emotional bonds within your family. At its core, this work is about creating secure, attuned connections where each member feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, we’ll explore how patterns of communication, connection, and disconnection impact the family dynamic, and work toward greater understanding and trust.

Sessions may include parent support, co-parenting guidance, establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries, and navigating difficult or disruptive life events that affect the whole family. Whether you're facing conflict, transitions, or simply seeking to foster deeper connection, family therapy provides a space to repair, rebuild, and grow stronger together.
